Due to the upcoming addition of a new family member, I am not taking any birth clients from now until March of 2009 (meaning with due dates after February).  I will be taking a few months off from teaching independent private childbirth classes as well, from August 2008 until January of 2009.  My plan is to start back up with a new range of services, and hopefully be able to begin offering fresh, fun, informative and empowering group Lamaze Childbirth Classes by next spring.  I am always more than happy to make referrals to doulas with similar training and practices; please contact me with any questions you may have!

Hello!  Welcome to my website. 

My hope is that you get a feel for me and for what a doula can do for you by looking at this website.  I am new to the doula profession.  I became a certified doula in August of 2007.  I became a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, and am now a Certified Lactation Counselor as well.  I am a DONA member, which means I adhere to their strict Code of Ethics.  Please visit DONA's website for more information on what these high standards of practice mean for my clients.  I am also a member of Lamaze International; I take the idea of promoting normal birth very seriously, and seek to help others find resources and support if they also desire normal birth.
